God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth gives way, and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

                                           Psalm 46:1-3

We don’t need to be afraid for what is to come and when we are going through some tough times because as it says in Psalms God is our refuge and strength!  We do not need to fear for the future as God is with you every step of the way.

During the pandemic it’s important to set goals which motivate you so here are few examples

  • Personal goals- such as reading,
  • Health related goals- daily exercising, eating healthier etc.
  • Religious goals – bible studies, going to church online, prayer walks etc.
  • Work related goals- meeting deadlines, working towards a goal etc.

It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.                                                  Deuteronomy 31:8

To help ourselves help others- if you know some of your friends’ and family are struggling send out a message, email or letter saying you are with them. Maybe send a little encouragement note or gift to put a smile on their faces, to know that they are loved.

Time to reflect and pray

Lord pray for all the people who are struggling to keep motivated with work, social life and in day-to-day jobs. Help those in need, show them that they are not alone. Lord we pray that the goals we have set up to help them to keep going to strive towards the light in tough times. As you are the way the truth and the light. Also, we lift up our thoughts which are weighing us down so you can lighten our mind.

Amen
