New Beginnings
Hasn’t it been nice to see the sunshine this week?! It’s been so lovely to see the bright purples and yellows of the crocuses and daffodils scattered through the flower beds. It feels a little to me like new beginnings. After such dark, cold days – and we have definitely had those this winter, haven’t we? it feels as though there is a glimmer of hope, a new start and that there are better days ahead. With Boris’s announcement on Monday, his road map for the country to get back up on its feet again, it feels as though the winter darkness is passing and making way for spring.
I am reminded of God’s promise in Isaiah,
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43 v 19
I am thankful that even in our darkest of times God is making a way, that even in our hardest of moments, we can hold onto his promise that he will make streams in the wasteland. There is still a push to the “finish”, we are not there yet, but there is an end in sight.
