It will have been difficult to have avoided the ongoing global situation concerning the COVID-19 pandemic that is raging. At Swindon Youth for Christ we are facing interesting times – and after prayer and planning we are hoping to explain here how we intend to do our part. Our focus will be moving from face-to-face youth work to digitally sharing and distributing encouraging, entertaining, and equipping resources for young people and adults alike.
In the next few weeks we will be putting our focus into sharing our social media will be angled towards sharing things daily so stay tuned to our Facebook and Instagram pages @swindonyfc
At the same time we will be publishing new information every 3 days about topics to be praying through as we press into God and exploring His will together. Keep checking in to hear good news stories, and specific requests for us, the young people we are connected with, and the world around us in a challenging time. www.swindon.yfc.co.uk/pray
Coronavirus or not, God’s kingdom is still standing strong and we are excited to keep sharing the good news of Jesus to every young person in Swindon, in whatever format that looks like in these unprecedented times! – Sarah Rhodes, Secondary School lead for Swindon Youth for Christ.
Over the next few days, focus prayers on times that God will allow us to make use of the time he has given us. We are thankful for each day that God gives us on this earth – but the challenge is how we use it to share His goodness.
