Job Summary:

Your role will involve working across two centres, focusing on developing Wiltshire Youth for Christ’s existing community and school-based ministry in the Marlborough area and continuing and developing the Healthy Minds project in secondary schools in Swindon. You will engage with young people, allowing them to encounter the Good News in ways relevant to their lives. Additionally, you will participate in implementing various other initiatives as needed.

Overview Hours:

We are advertising this post as full time – 37.5hrs per week. This will include some evening and weekend working as required by the scope of the role.

Salary: £24,000 – £26,000

Pension: 7% of the salary (plus minimum 1% contribution from employee) when applicable

Holidays: 25 days per year pro rata, in addition to statutory holidays.  All entitlements pro-rated for the number of hours worked. In addition, the post holder is entitled to leave during the three days between Christmas and New Year.

Duration: For two years initially (with a 6 month probationary period), subject to review after 12 months.

Location: Marlborough with occasional team meetings in Devizes / Trowbridge for 3 days a week and in Swindon schools for 2 days a week

As the work will include some working with young people in an unsupervised capacity, the successful candidate will be subject to screening regarding police records. The post holder’s permission is required for a Disclosure and Barring Service check (refusal means that the application will not be considered further) and the job will be offered subject to satisfactory references and DBS clearance.

There is an Occupational Requirement (OR) that the role holder is a Christian in accordance with the Employment Equality (Religion and Belief) Regulations 2010.
